Starting and renewing reformed ministries in nyc.
Leaders from the Reformed Church in America (RCA), America's oldest Protestant denomination, and the Christian Reformed Church of North America (CRC) have joined forces to lead a movement of church planting and renewal in metro New York. The team works collaboratively with leaders around the city to cast vision for planting and to resource, coach and support those who are doing this important ministry.
Our vision is to see 20 new ministries started by 2027! As part of our network, you'll have access to quarterly teaching/gatherings, coaching, support and other intangible benefits that come from co-laboring together. We hope you'll join and support this effort!
Our Strategy is G-P-S: GATHER, PRAY and SUPPORT. Gathering is about building up our collaborative network and covenanting together for the purpose accountability. Prayer is our response to Jesus' prayer: "Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven." Finally, Support is how we foster healthy and successful church plants and restarts. We can help you navigate the CRC and RCA systems (depending on which denomination you're wanting to work within), provide coaching, micro grants, training and other resources. We believe that those doing this work (and their families) need strong ministry friendships to support them in this work and we take that seriously, too.
Leaders lead from a place of vibrant relationship with God and growing emotional maturity.
Families in Ministry
Leaders lead from a place of singleness or marriage, and attend to their respective relationships as of primary importance.
Deep ministry friendships create a context for leaders to flourish and find support in a transient world.
Group wins are celebrated more so than individual victories. We share and work together for the sake of the kingdom.
The Lordship of Christ and the coming of his gracious kingdom are the primary thing we get excited about and work to see brought to fruition.
We value diversity since the body of Christ is diverse! Diversity glorifies God by showcasing the Gospel’s power to bridge gaps and create one new body from disparate groups.
Thank you for supporting this ministry. Your financial gifts help us reach more New Yorkers with the gospel. The NYC KEZ is all about empowering, equipping, engaging and expanding. We begin this new initiative asking our churches and friends for two things: your prayers and your financial partnership.

Rev. Doyle Degraw, Co-Leader (RCA)
Partnership, collaboration and relationships are essential for effective pastors and planters. To that end, we have outlined an on boarding process for prospective grant recipients. See below to learn more
The KEZ team would love to get to know you and learn about the vision God has placed on your heart. Contact us to set up a time to meet with a leader from KEZ.
Secondly, read and sign our partnership agreement. At this point, we'll designate a point person from the KEZ team who will help you continue through the process. Join our quarterly network gatherings and other events and benefit from the shared learning opportunities and prayer gatherings.
We are also committed to helping you navigate your way through ordination or approval in either the RCA or CRC local classes.
At this point, make sure you qualify for grants and learn more about the micro-grants we offer. Fill out an application (still being developed) and submit it to us. We will be in touch as soon as possible to make a final decision regarding your proposal. We will also request an end of year report (being developed) to track the progress of your ministry.
